Every summer, a dozen or so students from Burbank are selected to spend two weeks visiting one of our Sister Cities, and students from one of our Sister Cities are chosen to visit Burbank and stay with local families. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about a different culture first hand and to represent our city!
This year, Burbank students, grades 9-12, will be chosen to travel to Ota, Japan, as delegates representing Burbank!
Students and chaperones from our Sister City Incheon, South Korea, will be visiting Burbank in summer of 2027. Burbank families are needed to host our guests while they are here. Please consider taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to host a student in your home for one or both weeks. To learn more about hosting, attend a Sister City Committee meeting held the first Monday of every month at 6:30 PM in the auditorium at the Buena Vista Library in Burbank. We would love to have you join us!
